To water a variety of different-sized plants in my garden automatically, I created the system seen here.
I wanted this to be an art piece more than functional.
It features a water fall mechanism which moves around a spout, via a stepper motor and pulley system (seen on the upper hub with spokes and teeth around the edges for the belt)
The spout will position itself above a target funnel, and a solenoid valve will open to dispense water.
An accompanying local web interface can be used to program how often and how much water will be dispensed in each funnel. The funnels then send the water to a plant..
