The Burrito Feedo is the solution for a my very hungry cat.
Available automatic cat feeders had two main problems for me
1. They don’t actually measure the food weight, just activate a dispenser for a set time
2. They are always automatic, meaning the cat won’t recognize you as the provider of food.
To solve this, my cat feeder measures the output food with a load cell, and can require activation of a button press to dispense food at the correct weight (if desired).
Additional features include an app/ control interface hosted on the local network (ESP-32), and a very neat LED lightbulb housing using clear 3D printer plastic.
