About Me

I’m a Mechanical Engineering PhD student at The University of Texas at Austin, where I focus on nanomanufacturing and the design of dust-mitigating surfaces for extreme environments, such as the moon! Before graduate school, I earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin with University Honors and a minor in Entrepreneurship.

My research has focused on nanostructured materials, surface adhesion, and particle interactions, resulting in multiple publications in academic journals and conference proceedings. I am often recognized for my exceptional communication skills, from my experience as a teacher, a mentor, and a presenter in a variety of settings.

Beyond academics, I am a creative soul at heart. I often get deeply involved with passion projects where, over the course of a month, I will become a self-taught expert. I have been deeply engaged in ceramics and visual arts since early in my life – I even attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Dallas, Texas, with a focus on sculpture.
Since then, my creative outlets have been a defining part of my life – although not directly tied to my career goals, creative problem-solving is my greatest strength.

Recently, when I’m not in the lab or at my desk, I enjoy hands-on engineering projects, exploring new technologies, and connecting with others about science, research, and career opportunities. Some of my most recent projects include a range of 3D-printed inventions, my custom-built home server (which I used for AI model training), and microcontroller-based automation projects.
